Board and Trains

A board and train is a traditional type of dog training where the dog stays with the trainer to complete their program. For the duration of its stay, your dog would be living and training in my home and on my property.

This is a great way to get a jump-start in training that requires less time than Private Lessons!

It is imperative for the owners to follow through with the training once the dog is home for training to be successful. Following a training schedule and maintaining your dog’s obedience while at home is the best way to ensure that your pup thrives.

Follow up lessons will be scheduled on the Friday that your dog goes home. Any additional lessons can be scheduled by the client within a month’s time from the end of their residency program.

Programs

Puppy Obedience

Your puppy stays with me for two weeks, Monday-Friday, where we will work on integrating into the household and giving your puppy the best start to life. This program includes two follow up lessons. During their stay your puppy will work on:

Potty training
Crating
Socializing
Luring
Proper play
Confidence building

Basic Obedience

Your dog stays with me for two weeks, Monday-Friday, where we will work on 2-3 specific commands chosen by the owner.

Advanced
Obedience

Your dog stays with me for two weeks, Monday-Friday, where we will work on basic obedience and general manners. This program includes three follow up lessons. During their stay your dog will learn:

Loose leash walking
Place
Sit
Recall
Down
Impulse control

Off Leash Obedience

Your dog stays with us for four weeks Monday-Friday, where we will work on advanced on-leash and off-leash obedience and general manners. This program has four follow up lessons. During their stay your dog will learn and have proofed:

Loose leash walking
Place
Stay with owner
Recall
Sit and down with stays
Impulse control

Behavior Modification

Your dog stays with me for five weeks, Monday-Friday, where we will work on basic obedience and general manners. In this training program we will also address any behavioral issues such as aggression, resource guarding, separation anxiety, etc. During their stay your dog will learn:

Sit
Down
Place
